The ILXCTF.com Girls Relay rankings title stays in the Peoria area for a second straight year.

Dunlap repeated as the overall champion scoring 175 points. It was two points less than their winning total of 177 points from a year ago.

The two-time 2A IHSA State Champion rolled over their competition at this year’s state meet winning three of the four relays contested. In this year’s leaderboard, their 400, 800, and 1600 relays were all among the top ten.

It was close for places second through fourth as only six points separated those three teams. Homewood-Flossmoor scored 145 points to finish second followed by Lyons Township (143 points) and Naperville North (139 points). Whitney Young became the first Chicago Public School to finish in the top five as the Lady Dolphins scored 131 points to finish fifth.

The Southwest Conference and the West Suburban Conference-Silver Division had the most teams in the top 20 with three teams each.

Along with Dunlap, three other 2A schools placed in the top 20 with East St. Louis-Senior, Carbondale, and Rich East those teams.

The ILXCTF.com (formally the DyeStat Illinois) Relay Rankings are based off the DyeStat TFX Leaderboards on Athletic.net (as of June 1, 2018) for the four relays that are contested at the IHSA State Track & Field Meet. In the All Class, 3A, 2A, and 1A categories, the top 50 quartets are ranked with 50 points given to the fastest school down to 1 point for the 50th fastest.
